About Imagine Avenue

Imagine Avenue is Nottingham's premier mobile role-play designed to offer a fully interactive space for children to explore the real world through imaginative play. Our setting offers 8 carefully curated areas for children to discover. We pride ourselves on having quality interactions with the children during their play which allows their confidence, communication and social skills to grow without them even knowing it's happening!

At Imagine Avenue we can offer you a unique play experience through our weekly sessions which take place in venues across Nottingham. We are available to hire for school workshops supporting children from Early Years through Key Stage 1. We also offer private party bookings for children's birthdays and can provide ideal entertainment for christenings, weddings and family events.

We're Gemma & Alice

We took the leap in summer 2022 to leave our careers (Teacher & Childminder) and establish our own business with the goal of bringing the power of play to young children. As sisters we were inspired by the joy and growth we saw in our own children at play (we each have 3 boys!) and wanted to use our personal and professional experience to share this with other families.

We are passionate about helping young people secure crucial development in their early years and have lots of fun at the same time! Almost 2 years down the line we are so proud of everything we have achieved and are so excited to see what else is to come for Imagine Avenue…

Who are you?

We are Gemma & Alice, sisters from Nottingham who have a passion for sharing the power of play. We developed Imagine Avenue to allow children to learn through play in a stunning role play environment.

How do I book?

We list our events on our website and update these regularly. If you don't see an event close to you, get in touch to see if we're coming to you.

We also accept cash and card payments on arrival, as well as for our refreshments. If you wish to pay on arrival, be sure to check our social media to see if a session or event is sold out.

You can find us in our regular venues every week during term time, with bonus holiday dates added too! We reach people across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.

Imagine Avenue is inclusive to all children, we are an ideal place to bring your baby, toddler and school aged children! You’re never too old to play!

We have a baby area to help occupy very young siblings but once your child is on the move they will benefit from being able to interact with our resources.

Our ‘non-participating infant’ tickets are for babes in arms who are attending with an older sibling.

Imagine Avenue hosted a joint birthday party for three two year olds this weekend and we were all so pleased with how it went! We had 20 children aged from 1-8 attend and all of them had such a good time. My daughter in particular who is really familiar with Imagine Avenue had the best time having it all to herself with her friends! Gemma and Alice are so professional but also have such a lovely relationship with all the children. They kept popping in to make sure everything was ok. We hired the same venue that Imagine Avenue regularly use which so this worked really well logistically too. I’d recommend Imagine Avenue to anybody looking for something special and a bit different a children's party!

If I could have given these lovely ladies 10 stars I would have. We had imagine avenue host our daughters 3rd birthday party. The set up and clear up couldn't have gone smoother. All the kids had a wonderful time, played really well together and were so entertained that the parents were able to relax a bit and have a nice catch up. Each section has had such thought gone into it and has a fantastic selection of toys. Really the best role play set up we've played at. Some lovely personal gestures really made it feel special. My son loves Imagine Avenue - there are a few role play centres around but love that Imagine Avenue is slightly different with the airport and garden sections. Gemma and Alice have done a really great job! We just hired them also for a 3rd birthday party and it was brilliant - the kids and parents loved it! Thank you!

Gemma and Alice delivered an amazing experience to the Nursery children of my school. They displayed high levels of professionalism, engaged and challenged our children appropriately and were all round OUTSTANDING. Such a brilliant party idea! I used Imagine Avenue for a 3rd birthday party and the children loved it from the second they walked through the door. It made for such an easy party as the children were so busy and entertained throughout. Gemma and Alice were great at communicating with me in the run up to the party, amazingly speedy at setting up/ tidying away and lovely with the children throughout the party, resetting the scenes and playing with the children. Many parents at the party were asking for Imagine Avenue’s contact details!

I would highly recommend hiring Imagine Avenue for your child’s birthday party! I cannot thank Alice and Gemma enough for their help and support from planning to executing my little boys third birthday party. The play spaces are adorable and really well designed. They even catered for the younger and older siblings at the party allowing the parents to enjoy a drink and a chat. They were super flexible when it came to set up and were so efficient during the clean up process. The personal touches really made it extra special for him. Thank you so much!

Had Imagine Avenue for our daughters 3rd birthday party. Everyone had a great time, one of my friends said it was the best kids party they've ever been to! Lots to entertain themselves with. A very sweet personalised tough spot Peppa Pig play area as it was our daughters favourite. Owners very approachable and friendly. Very kind extra of little gift and card for birthday girl at the end. Efficient set up and take down. Would recommend and definitely consider again for future parties!

Cannot recommend Imagine Avenue enough!! We've been to a few of the play sessions and decided to book my little boys 2nd birthday with them. All the kids played so nicely for the full 2 hours, no bored children in sight! The girls made it so easy from booking, to setting up, everything was thought about and taken care of with no issues! I even asked for a digger messy tray section which they did to fit into the theme. Thank you so much 😊
